Slow day. Main target caught by @Hay :( and a couple still loaded. It's like watching paint dry.

    RoR1 was way more fun.

I see charlie.uk was renewed 18 hours into the day, and now belongs to our very own @susannah

How on earth did that happen? Charlie.uk should drop, i thought that was a breach of nominets terms unless you own the .co.uk? I guess being a NED applicant brings its own perks of the job... You get first dibs on any domain lol

I suspect the original owner renewed it (which according to my logs happened between 17:45:27.3404 and 17:45:28 . 4562 ) then mysteriously ;) decided to sell it.

Within seconds was moved tag... My concern is how did you get in touch with the .co.uk owner because there is no public info for that owner and the original site does not resolve... did you get passed the owners details through other NED applicants? If so i would love to get in contact with some others lol :D

I know of two sources where you can get historic UK whois records from. It's not a secret if you google it.

I'm sure there will be a mix of opinions on whether this is in the interests of 'fair play'. I don't mind it per-say, but wasting a day's quota on it slightly riles me! (goes without saying that I'm sure it wasn't meant to be a last minute thing)

PS - Livedomains won't give out, nor pass on, registrant data.

This will piss a lot of people off... those chasing a single domain and have wasted 18 hours of quota on that 1 single domain wont be happy...

PS: I guess Charlie really did bite all our fingers lol

In poker there is a saying. Hate the game not the player.
If someone has the ingenuity to go about it a different way without breaking any rules.
    Then, well done, I say!

    Mixed opinion here.

For someone that has always been so vocal against these registrars mass registering the domains ahead of RoR, and now because that happened, has directly benefitted from the registrar doing so, due to the domain not being released when it should have back in 2019.

Which side of the fence is it?

Those two points are not the same. Going by this you are suggesting she should not be catching anything this past two week in protest?

You have to look at it from further back. Narrow-angle is Yin Yang as per. But the actual story starts with the .uk proposal. From there until present is Domainers doing what Domainers do. Taking advantage every and all opportunity along the way regardless of their own views about how it all unfolded.

Anyone with even a modicum of domaining experience should have got an overall positive which is the likely reason no torches and pitchforks at Midnight have occurred.
