Is there a trusted thread on acorn re bitcoin, how to create a wallet and buy bitcoin etc?

Always meant to have a pop but never got round to it, probably the reason bitcoin done so well as I'm the guy who buys shares the day before company goes in to administration :)

Pretty sure I know what to do but info sites go off on so many directions I'd rather trust acorn.

    Thanks in advance.

Can probably use this thread as the other is full of negative responses. The easiest way still to buy Bitcoin is to register with Coinbase (need to prove who you are which puts many off) and you can then use your debit card to deposit funds, albeit some banks will block (or try to block) you from spending your money (certainly will with credit cards). From there you can buy Bitcoin, then transfer to cold storage using a device such as a Ledger/Trezor, or if you trust your PC and the security of it, Exodus.

What you mean is... People who keep their coins on the exchange and not in their wallets don't like money ;)

Can't really fault Coinbase for ease of use, it just works!

Except it's a nightmare for UK customers to withdraw their money from Coinbase.
