Just noticed the auctions have started.
Just saw that aswell. I wonder of thats the complete list or stuff will turn up as auctions end ?
They will be staggered out, I imagine there will be a lot more, had et.uk and others up earlier that now aren't showing
He/they caught a lot more than what's listed now. Sure he'll drip feed them out... Make more £££ that way.
Really surprised how much some have bids for already. It's all going to end in disaster in my opinion, however I wish you all the best of luck.
Edit: Roll on the inevitable DRS and the thousands and thousands wasted.
not for DL
Very surprised to see SunBingo.uk on there, even more surprised to see it has bids, got to be asking for trouble surely.
Yep! Not just that but so many .UK holders are going to be receiving so many DRS's from the .co.uk counterpart it's almost hilarious.
Only one person I see making good money from .UK and that's Denys.
Interestingly Sun Bingo doesn't have an EU/UK Trademark, although in their case I'm sure DRS would go in favour of the Sun... but then what about the MASSIVE RoR period? Surely the folks judging a DRS should bare this in mind.
I really don't know, not had any experiences with DRS, but I would think anyone who doesn't have a TM and it's a generic name would struggle,, wouldn't they?
I've reg'd a few generics which have established businesses residing on the .co.uk... .uk has to be one of the longest "sunrise" periods ever in the domaining world?
I don't think Denys will be the only person, how much does a DRS cost?... and the appeal cost?... and the domain lawyers?... I was just reading through the recent NED thread as well
Yeah, I've never seen so many bids on DL . I noticed that gay.uk is at over a grand already with 36 bids so I've elected to pop Gay.org.uk on here, to see if anyone that can't nab it still wants to camp it up!
shameless plug / seamless segue https://domainlore.uk/auctions/gems_id/22498
Apart from the questionable sunbingo, where exactly is a DRS likely on the current domains at auction? I don't see one providing buyers are careful what they launch on them.
Would just be useful to know whats coming, so that we can plan ahead
I think that's the idea. List a few premium with some low value to keep everything ticking over, and leave et.uk to the end to keep people coming back.
Probably all the best domains caught by Cambridge, JSISK and OSTASHKO tags
These are some of the domains they caught (not all), will depend if they had over 2 requests to catch I guess
How much would these .uk have gone for before the RoR expired? That's the question... Who's just getting caught up in the excitement of it all?
I don't get why interested buyers are bidding against each other at this stage. They're just ramping the price up.
Fair enough place a bid so you're kept in the loop but by constantly bidding against each other at an early stage isn't logical.
Just my opinion but bad tactic.
Ledge, thats basically what I wanted to get a vague idea of
DL or Sedo the best place to sell these?
Depends on how quickly you'd want to turn these around. I'd imagine DL is more domainers, and SEDO is more end users? Unfounded speculation?
I reckon some end users will get involved with a few
I've had about 10 offers from end users so far on my selection registered, mostly surnames have been of interest, but the awareness of .uks has surprised me
Separate names with a comma.
