    Hi,

Knocked together our first two new mini sites:

    mini fridge
    gas bbq

Developed logos and branding. Playing around with adsense and affiliates, need more content but not got around to it yet...

    Couple of questions:
    - Is one page enough to rank well?
    - In regards to hosting is it best to spread your mini sites across different servers? I have heard that Google doesn't like sites linking on the same hosting...
    - Is developed content better than feeds/blog posts?
    - Any feedback appreciated.

PS - Any one interested in links?

looking good. A couple of points though:

    1. if you are running AdSense you must have a privacy policy now. the big G will knock you down if you don't. There is a site that generates the google friendly privacy policy text somewhere - can't remember what it is though.

    2. Kind of related, they also like you to have a contact page.

I think you need to try & squeeze the phrase "mini fridges" in the first paragraph a few more times if you can :)

Well I wasn't aware of this. Do you need a link off every page where Adsense is featured, one per site on the home page, or what? Must it be specifically a Google based one, or will the JenSense one suffice?

they changed the rules a few months back. I think the adbot will also record whether there is a privacy policy which could kill any rankings.

Just have a link in your footer or something to the privacy page - just edit their text and insert your domain name. The one I use is almost identical to that one.

    - Is one page enough to rank well?

It can be, but you will never regret harnessing the power of the long tail!

    - In regards to hosting is it best to spread your mini sites across different servers? I have heard that Google doesn't like sites linking on the same hosting...

If you want to take your SEO very seriously, then different Class C addresses come into play, but I wouldn't worry about it too much in the early days. I have two UK hosts only.

    - Is developed content better than feeds/blog posts?

Unique content is good. Content is good full stop. Blog posts are good to bring links into the site.

    - Any feedback appreciated.

Remember that top half of page (above the fold) is most important, and none of your ads are showing there currently.

PS - Any one interested in links?
