I was quite happy using what I was used to, now I need to hunt for what I'm looking for.

I'm sure I'll get used to it :)

Looks terrible in Google Chrome, surprised it would be rolled out with such compatibility issues

I noticed it was aligning slightly to the left on some pages too, but nothing too drastic.

But cheaper than employing a model :)

You would expect sedon't to fork out a few hundred quid for a unique model picture. I'd do it for 20 quid, I'd even shave for £40 :)

The site is full of pictures of smiling women, what the hell do smiling women have to do with bloody domains? stick a smiling women next to a pc monitor and bob's your uncle, no doubt somewhere on the site there is a picture of a bunch of smiling office workers all looking at one pc monitor, what are they all looking at, why haven't they got there own monitors.

They should really have a picture of an unshaved, drunken 30 something in underwear staring at the PC. More suited to the demographics of sedo visitors :)

I'd fit the bill perfectly :)

Why remove the latest sales from the homepage? (more for smiling women?)

Try to expand the auctions section:

In June 2008 I asked them to sort out thier "UK" RSS feed for Acorn Domains to be able to promote it:

    Sedo - Neue int. Topdomains

Now it's in German, and the domains are mostly .COMs including things like CorporateCondos.com

    How UK is that?

The new site is 500 steps back. Now it looks as blah as any other site. With the old one, the main focus of attention was the domains. The new version focuses the attention squarely on the cheap stock photos.

I am surprised this was not tested/reviewed more before launch:
    • the search box seems to overlap the letter e in "the"
    • I clicked on "more" for "featured auctions" and at that point it faded into "top domains" and I ended up in that section
    • browse by category is a nightmare of a collection of a thousand words (tried to find geo domains but gave up)
    • dull home page
    • and yes "those stock photos"

I have updated this to match the email I sent to feedback@sedo.com, so this is sort of an open letter:

I don't know where else to start other than the fact that the new site is
    terrible.

I use Chrome and it just doesn't work in there. I have to Ctrl-F5 just to
get the login box on the login screen to appear. Every time.

CSS is missing and boxes and text are all over the place. I have a gray
background in Chrome and the hover menu (more on that later) goes up from
the mouse, not down like in Firefox.

The fact that you've used a web development team that didn't test in
Chrome, now a major player, just shows how amateur they really are.

Your site is almost completely unusable in Chrome.

Chrome aside, it is filled with smiling, *extremely* annoying stock women
that scream "we did this on the cheap!". The sad thing is you probably
spent a rather large sum of money on this "design".

It is designed to *try* and look fancy and forgetting the user.

And it fails to look fancy. It looks cheap and stock.

The focus on domains has been completely lost, as has my interest in Sedo.
It looks like the kind of site management make without listening to
designers. Alternatively, if designers did get a word in edge ways then
they obviously didn't listen to management about what the site needs to do.
One or both of you failed.

The hover menu is a nightmare, it feels like you're playing an infuriating
    one of these:

    http://www.fones4schools.co.uk/media/images/prizes/photos/2368.jpg

You have to hover over an option then slowly try to get your mouse to the
other side of the screen to click an option before accidentally sliding
your mouse out and losing the menu.

The home page used to be a very interesting place with the four boxes of
sales, auctions etc. Now I have to try and read one of the two, awkwardly
highlighted and difficult to read boxes before it fades to the next in a
"let's look fancy and use AJAX without consulting the user" moment.

Your website seems to aim to be as loud and "everyone else" like as
possible. Lost is the professional domain website, in its place is a
    generic, stock, unusable disaster.

    terrible

it is indeed toerrible misaligned, auction was the only selling point and now a little square at the bottom.

More importantly you want to log in and find the current bids on domains...........i cant..............how do i find the current bids?

Why not just point them to the threads on various forums?
