Wow this is like a real life soap opera.

Big kids and their childish games.
Looks like Nominet might have the biggest rattle, for the moment.

On another note, I hope you will vote for YOUR favorite Nominet non exec, NO proposals from me. ;-)

I think that this will be the most amusing and exiting Nominet AGM I have ever been to. It's like a soap opera. I have already booked my front seat, and am prepared to be spattered with blood, and i have my rain coat and helmet in hand.

Will it all go smoothly for the board?
Will the 3 that have been kicked hard fight back?
    Will there be an uprising?
Will there be a vote of no confidence (rumors) in the board?
Will the board resign if Jim gets in?
Will fox sell Nominet and live on a big boat?
Will the members be sacked in the next few years?
And my favourite - Will the government kick everyone out and run it themselves? (at this rate I am edging my bets on this one)

Well all this and more when you tune for next Fridays (the 30th Aprils') edition of "Nominet, life on the square"

Anyone up for writing the next sketch.

Please don't flame me, I realise that this is very serious, but there can always be satirical moment. Any takers for more ;-)

More exciting than the year than Angus and Andrew stood and challenged the results before they had even been announced?

...could be - I'm hearing on 'da grapevine' that there are a number of members upset about Nominets statement and Gordons endorsment of said statement despite his serious conflict of interest in relation to his own candidacy for the board.

You youself have aired your concerns over the additional statements that has been requested from the candidates by the board, which Gordon (for obvious reasons) will have seem to have had advanced warning to prepare his before the other candidates.

I rather suspect there could be a number of complaints being put forward by members to Popularis as a result.

    Regards,

    Sneezy.

It could well be - it hasn't even finished yet though - there's plenty of time left for things to continue to twist and turn!

All in all, it is fascinating to watch.

Is it good for .uk? Probably not.

I have said that I think it might have been better to have waited until tomorrow to publish the statements, in order to allow all candidates the time to produce one. I have not expressed any concern over the request for additional statements.

...Hazel - I think you've also said you want .uk domain registrations to be £100 each for members rather than £5 as it is now!

Are you sure you're not still smoking the pop? :???: http://www.hazel.me.uk

Can you keep all this on Nom-steer... at least I can delete them!

Frankly I'm finding it all just a bit sickening.

I've mellowed with age. I'll settle for £50 a pop.
