Hi,
Yes unfortunately the New Year has brought us the worst issue we've had with the system, (the only downtime we've experienced properly in around 2 years) a few things have happened at the same time including a disk failure in our primary DNS machine, which has led to it corrupting all of the DNS records. I'ts the equivalent to a DNS poisoning attack where all of the records are being sent with bad IP information. We are getting confirmation shortly that this is definately a disk failure and not a malicious attack.
Unfortunately the way DNS works means that this wont sort itself out naturally until the DNS system propagates all of the good information, which can take up to 24 hours, in some cases it may take 1 hour or 3 hours. Hopefully we will get a fix before that needs to happen.
One temporary fix is to remove ns1.metaparking.com from your nameserver records,
then add
PRIMARY ns3.metaparking.com
SECONDARY ns2.metaparking.com
This may work straight away but it will depend on who hosts your domains (how often they update the NS records) as the bad information NS1 has given out still may need to be flushed from their cache.
Refunds will be worked out based on the last weeks average +10%. Your earnings will be unaffected as they will be adjusted to counter the downtime.
Huge apologies for this, we are working on it as fast as we can.
In the meantime please IM or PM us with any questions you have. Updates will be posted on here and via IM.
Paul, James and Gavin.
