Potential is a great word

i think for me if, if we can allow extensions then its

1-Personalinjury.org

2-Remortgage.org

3-DebtConsolidationLoans.org.uk

4-kitchenUnits.co.uk

My number 1 is not the domain that cost the most but like i said , the

One that offers most potential reward, as either a domain sale, or as a site sale

hi steve i think u looks like no one things they are worth developing lol !!!!

i guess u should sell to me like we discussed in prague i'll give u a fiver each for them lol !!!!

no seriously....

Personalinjury is a favorite high CPC and easy to sell leads...

but a .org so type in traffic would be low but no compettition ont the phrase with the .co.uk or anything else .

kichenunits.co.uk

could be more better long term and i think would fit very well with something else you do so i would probably do that first , and the other one after,

or put up a very basic site on the other site ... couple of pages no real conetent and that should get u a few leads to sell to lawyers .

hope all well

hahahaha no competition on that term. lol

Avoid.co.uk - planning on a travel review site of places not to use

Donate.org.uk - a donation website

FancyDressOutfits - put some kind of shop on it

Haircuts.co.uk - a haircut directory of styles.

These will probably never happen though, been on the burner for years now so same as probably most on here.

I was wondering about replying to this thread as it's too stark a reminder of how long these have been on the back-burner :(

Anyway, one day I will have more time in my life for development (I hope) ... ;)

as//co//uk:

1. CareersAdvice
2. InvestmentAdvice
3. SelfEmployed

as//co//uk & //com and potentially a very good brand but no uk exacts at all:

4. WhatHoliday

Can someone keep reminding me to pull my finger out?

Cheers, Luke

I'm finding stopping buying new domains is a great way to focus on developing the ones you have ;)

Afterall what good is sitting on a goldmine if you dont mine it

I guess the theory is buy loads of goldmines whilst they are cheap and undeveloped, then mine them. Rather than buy goldmines that are already making money.

But ultimately you are right, it's better to stop buying and start developing one at a time. Saying that and doing it is two different things.

I am going to put my list from slightly different perspective. In fact not on a consumer-based products but on B2B potential, which is completely different thing. I am only putting here undeveloped or semi-developed names.

1. surfactant_co_uk
followed by three auxiliary names: sles_co_uk, stpp_co_uk and labsa_co_uk which are top surfactant ingredients.

2. freightforwarders_eu

3. sodiumchlorite_co_uk and sodiumpercarbonate_co_uk

4. chemexport_co_uk and chemsource_eu

But this is B2B only so normal rules of the game (exacts, etc.) don't work.

I've picked four that I'm sure could be developed into something special. Not sure that we'd be the ones to do that but you never know. The first on the list is so competitive that you'd need to have top skills to get a good ranking. But the rewards could be amazing:

1) carinsurancequotes.co.uk - hard to get insurance domains this good

2) studentfinance.com - students always searching to save money

3) redundancy.co.uk - could be a great advice site

4) 4x4s.co.uk - 4x4s are back in fashion especially with all the potholes!

Hmmmmmmm Good response and advice

Well a lot of good Domains and advise

there are some fantastic domains been shown with great potential

by Grey Wing, lucky luke, doug and i must say nigel what a great selection

yes Brum and jmot not just sitting on them its hammer time

Development time back to Bucharest tomorrow for 2 weeks

to make sure the development wheel is turning properly and its not as easy

as it sounds, never could manage from a distance

Good to see everyone`s hopes and dreams, some are very strong ones

Recycle.co.uk wow donate.org.uk selfemployed.co.uk

carinsurancequotes.co.uk frieghtforwarding.eu

And brum i have i have just had a word with the powers that be

and if you could increase your offer to £ 15 we might have a deal :p

some nice names guys
i have developed (development never ends, ongoing process of all sites, but...) many sites. maybe 100 or so in my 'portfolio'
too many though, need to concentrate on half a dozen

i'll be honest though, theres no way i could narrow it down to just 4 names and say they were my best
i'd struggle to narrow to 10 or more to be honest. have thousands of domains, and whilst some are obviously very good imo, others i consider excellent but i.m not necessarily judging them on the 'usual' metrics

maps.co.uk
blackpool.co.uk
3dtelevision.co.uk
And if I ever go down the lead-gen route, then one or other of my "factoring" financial domains would make up the 4th...

dentalcare (recent purchase)
skegness
plots
chic

.co.uk

Come on

This also a god way of getting to know each other a it better too :p

Keep them coming there some really great names appearing maps.co.uk

wow that`s great and everyone else`s to yes i know its difficult thats why i asked ,

InsuranceQuotes.co.uk well excuse me what a great domain name and what great potential too

DentalCare.co.uk that could be a nice development and sold in 18 months for good money xx,xxx

Good Niche market place

Regards Steve

maps.co.uk is my favourite so far :)

to be fair google or multimap or someone should have rugby tackled you by now Edwin and stuffed cash in your hand , and you should be semi-retired purely off that one name by now

imho

And that is exactly WHY its not the best there. Googlemaps is where most people go. IMO, maps.co.uk has had its day, and that was 8 years ago.

Trainers.co.uk is the one for me, regular income of that one for sure.

dentalcare (recent purchase) .co.uk

Fab name - I almost bought this myself in early September, but Nick wouldn't budge on price - looks like he done the right thing :)

Good luck with it mate, I love the name !

Inspirational! Sometimes someone just says something that makes you sit up and think. Tom's done just that. Cheers Tom.
