    @denchomsky, you said you had the guys email address. You obviously can't post it because of the way you retained it. However if they have publically posted it them selves, such as in their own bennevis.co.uk website privacy policy ( which they rightly should for GDPR ) then maybe you could confirm it's the same email for clarity. :rolleyes:

    Also have you contacted the seller again to see if said party has maybe backed out due to the heat of the thread ?

    Googled morewine, did you guys know there's a .wine extension? who would think .wine is a good idea

    Even more niche is the .vodka extension. Probably thought it was a good idea after a couple .wines

    Just an update for those interested.
    The original buyer (hijacker) pulled out of the purchase on Sedo, once they realised they wouldn't be able to sell it on at a profit.

    I negotiated the purchase of the domain privately with the seller and my client now has it.

    Half a day of my life wasted :mad: but the correct result in the end. :)

    As far as I know, you can not 'pull out' of a Sedo domain. It's either purchased or not.

    This sounds like the either the seller simply removed the domain from being available OR what I suspected to be happening originally...was trying to be done but failed miserably after a mod removed the details of the person looking to buy it, to prevent a scam happening.
