    hi paul,

I like the home page - nice and simple options.

graphics arnt the best i have ever seen but still looks good.

you just need the critical mass and thats always the problem starting these things until they snowball.

its generally seems pretty easy to use, and its quite deep and detailed.

being brutal I wonder .. if you are wanting to make money from this you might do better to focus more on friendship, dating side of locals

not to say theres not money in business and community etc nice ideas but you know...

    cheers

Ive never thought that the name 'locals' really works. Have you not got anything else stashed away thats better?

    Plus, where is East Anglia?

I got to this page on the forum: http://www.locals.co.uk/community/forumdisplay.php?f=62 and then didn't know how to get back to the home page.

The logo doesn't click back to the home page (which is the unofficial standard across the web) and I couldn't immediately see a "Home Page" link.

An another note (and this is just personal observation) a lot of websites tend to include South Yorkshire in either North West, North East or Northern England (as you did). It takes having to look through them until you find it.

Now many sites are adopting "Yorkshire and the Humber" as one area. Any thoughts on maybe adding this as a category?

Other than that, I like the site useability.

Also Paul when you select a region from the home page those pages where the header is orange..... The text needs sorting. I see lots of crap on the outlines
    example page

    http://www.locals.co.uk/northwest/ the welcome to:..... text

and agree you need the logo to link back to home or have a distinct home button.

p.s. I like the Members login font on the right. Perhaps use that instead for the welcome to..... or even the logo?

    something like
