What is the easiest way to find my earlier posts / threads?

I've looked for a shortcut to 'my posts' but can't find one. Am I being blonde, or isn't there an obvious way?

Thanks

Suzi

Now it's easy, 'cos I can just click on my name in the first post...

But I don't want to have to make a post everytime I check in, just to find my other posts!!

It's a shame there aren't links at the top like on other forums where you can click
View my posts
View posts since last visit
view unanswered posts

It's a quick vB mod to add to the navbar My Posts (done it on my own site):
Code:
<td class="vbmenu_control"><a href="search.php?do=finduser&u=$bbuserinfo[userid]" accesskey="2">My Posts</a> <span id="navbar_myposts"><script type="text/javascript"> vbmenu_register("navbar_myposts"); </script></span></td>

Perhaps Admin could add this in...?!

View my posts - Click on your username, then on "view my posts"
View posts since last visit - Click on "New Posts" on the bar above
View unanswered posts - Whos unanswered posts?

View my posts - Click on your username, then on "view my posts"

Yes - but you've got to find your user name in the first place - which usually means finding one of your posts - which kind of brings us back to where I started...!! :p

"User CP" , then click on one of the threads, there you are. Of course, you have to have a good or bad rep posting to start with.

Anyone's unanswered posts I guess - this would allow contributors to easily view posts that haven't had an answer, so that they could consider answering them.

Which I don't appear to have! :(

And nor will other newbs.

Perhaps it's an initiative test! :)

If I click on user cp I don't see any threads? I always have to find one of my posts then click on my username. Right pain in the arse.
I think it's a bit long winded imho. And the view unanswered posts is to view any that haven't had replies. This improves the forum as helpful people can view those. The other forums I use I find nice and easy, goto homepage and click top right links. Less clicks happier users. We only have a 2 second attention span.

I think it would be a good idea to have links like other forums whereby you have
view my posts
view posts since last visit
view unanswered posts.

You click on User CP and dont see - Latest Reputation Received - in front of you?

Perhaps its the way I have mine set up?

I see the reputation but what has that got to do with my last posts?

As you are hijacking Suzis thread, its no wonder you are confused.

I was answering this

Please read through the thread again.

I don't even see any reputation - but maybe that's because I don't have a reputation! At least not here! (Yet!!) ;)

Have to say firestars, as of now, I can't see how clicking User CP is going to help me. But as you say, maybe you are set up differently (how?) or maybe it's because I don't have an AD reputation.

Thanks for your attempts to help though.

Suzi

Firestars I dont call it hijacking a thread when it's likely to help others too. But then it appears no one has been helped.

Sorry Suzi, it appears you'll still have to struggle when your near to 1000 posts like me. Assuming you stay that long!

p.s. I've added you some rep so maybe that will help. But who knows.
