Interested to get anyones thoughts on PartyPlanning (dot co dot uk)

I would expect the end user of this to be a party and/or events organising company - but perhaps you've got other, better ideas?

All thoughts welcomed - this is the first time I've asked for one of these, so go gently please!! :)

    Nice name,

    PartyPlanning
    PartyPlanner

are always going to be the best of the best for the end user.

    Id say £xxxx to reseller

£xx,xxx to the right end user.

Thanks for that. £xx,xxx would be nice!

I've had a low £x,xxx offer just on spec, but turned it down.

Have you tried direct marketing to the .org.uk developed site owners? Perhaps these people made you the low £X,XXX offer

    Hi

    No I haven't... yet!

But I don't think it was them.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll owe you a drink if I ever sell it to them. ;-)

Be careful who you market it to.

They could take it to DRS and take the domain from you!

    Careful who you contact,

Unlikely as this is a generic term.

This is a respectable generic domain.

Options are selling it to an end user, although this is unlikely to be easy as the business benefit is not large because party planning is local rather than national, i.e. it's not really that scalable an industry. Expectations on sale price should be realistic (low to mid £xxxx IMO).

I see long term potential in developing the site, either as a directory type site with AdSense, or alternatively a "How to organise a good party" site and use links to online party shops (affiliate programs are available).

Either way it's a nice domain with potential.

If you go out hunting the owner of another extension I think you are taking a big risk you don't need to.

I'm not in anyway saying that they will take it from you, but we all know the crazy things that come out of the DRS from time to time, why take the risk?

Thank you for the warning. I would hope that it is a low risk, but better to be conscious of it than to fall foul inadvertently.

no problem, accelerator is correct in the fact that it's low risk but DRS's can be very crazy sometimes.

Best of luck with it and good name.

I would agree with most of what has been said. It's a great domain name. If it was me I would not be selling it... I would develop it into a community for party planners... ann summers etc.

Once you have an active userbase it could easily attract investment, get a team on board, develop a product ordering and party planning system in a similar way to the sites that do invoices and time recording etc... email reminders... help the planners organise things..

Finally, you get advertisers to pay to get advertising eye time on your site... again that would be ann summers, kenwood, tupperware etc etc.

Or, just find a good end user... maybe even contact ann summers or one of the other big part planning businesses and see if they have any interest?

Good domain though. I wish I had it. :)
