Is this kosher? I want to list on ebay - the .co.uk version, but can't from over here - defaults to the .com from the US. I'd paypal you the listing fees and be willing to pay 10% of sale. Only acorn vets, ideally with +3 or better trader rating.

You can list on the .co.uk ebay from the US.
    Here are a few options:

    1) just add your listing making sure you choose that you want to sell to the UK. USA results show in the UK results over here.

    2) Just select the UK ebay version. It is only using IP detection and they always allow a way to look at either version of the site in case the IP detection does not work. Don't know where the link is on the USA version but it is there.

    3) Use a proxy to access the ebay uk website

    4) Change your browser settings (firefox have plugins) to look like you are in the UK.

Now, if you are saying that you want to sign up / run a UK account that you don't currently have, that is a different story, but to be honest, you should be fine with option number 1 above.

    Hope that helps.

Or I am happy to help... that is option 5. I have about 60 trader rating, recent activity on my account (made a few purchases last week) and will be happy to help if you can pm some details on the domain and target price.... the reason I say is because obviously there are ebay fees that will be taken from me for listing the domain based on the sale and we will need to check out your paypal account, see that it is varified etc etc as I don't want my accounts burned if it goes tits up ;)

Think of it as due diligence. :)

    PM if you need. :)

ANOTHER reply for me... just realised you mean a acorn domain trader rating... sorry :( Thought you meant ebay.

Either way, I am still happy to help but I understand that you may not feel so inclined based on the fact I have done no trades here on acorn. I have been over at dnforum for a long time and only just decided to register here to focus on more .co.uk stuff instead of just .com.

    TTFN,
    David

I have not used Ebay in a couple of years but I know that the Turbo Lister application let you choose which ebay site you wanted to list on. I used to sell GHD irons on Ebay US and Australia.

Ahhh, good ole Turbo lister... forgot about those days. Used to use that to list stuff from ATS Distribution... (oooo) seems they have a new site... may have to dabble again.

As long as you write all the description details I can do it for you. I'd like to know the name first though. Let me know if I can be of assistance.

Thanks all! I will try again to make it work - but it seemed to automatically switch to the US version. If that happens agin, I will be in touch! PMing the names will be the first step.
