    Parking Versus Mini Sites

About three weeks ago I came across a thread on Mini Sites and I decided that I would turn all my parked names into Mini Sites.

My names were not earning much at the sedo parking program, so three weeks later I have around 160 developed mini sites with another 30 to develop. I have noticed that my revenue has increased four fold.

Any other domainers out there who have turned their names into mini sites rather than relying on domain name parking?

If so please show us your Mini Sites and let us know if your income has increased from developing Mini Sites.

Here are a few of mine using the Niche Store program

    AFL Gear
    Backpacks
    Motocross
    v8 Engines

Great Sites, I love the Street Dancing theme.

I have looked at BANS before for minisites but couldn't make up my mind if its worth the $90+ fee, is it?

Hi...Yes not a penny made thus far on the one I have. But, I do think development is the way to go. Parking with a few exceptions is not as profitable.

Its worth the fee, because you pay the $90 and can use the licence to develop as many sites as you wish, please if you refer people to ebay or bans you get good commissions as well as the potential money you can make with adsense or other companies.

    Whats your site Siren?

    Nice sites Mally!

Has anyone made any Genuine Mini-Sites and had success ?

By Genuine i mean, when you look at most minisites, its basically a load of bollocks (no offence) and meaningless but prob makes for good search results but ultimately when I stumble on sites like that, I clock address and remember it won't help me next time.

So if you built a genuinely useful site, which has elements of automated data (like the RSS feed posts on here), would the yield be better, worse or the same ?

It can be a very lucrative route, depending on how you monetise. A minisite has an increased chance of getting small numbers of natural referrals from the engines. Then its a case of scale. You probabably need 100's of sites to get lots of clicks though. Some Yahoo ppc affiliates do this and if you have a direct feed it can monetise very well.
