    Hi,

I have some highly keyworded co.uk’s running affiliate scripts. Usually it’s not a problem for me to get them high in SERPs. But with one domain it was real struggle. Then I’ve decided to check the history and … yeah, this one was pre-owned. The rest are fresh regs. I think the previous owner did something wrong and now for 2 months I can’t get decent SERPs.

Well, I am trying to give it some PR to move up, Yahoo takes it really well (number one for more than a month) but the big G is adamant.

How long it usually lasts? Have you had any similar experiences?

Maybe adding the site to Google Webmaster Tools might help.

If you look at the site with the Wayback Machine, maybe you'll get some clues as to what the problem is.

Tried about a month ago… there is only one “error 500” from 2007, nothing else…

i have an unknown ranking problem with one of my sites too. tried everything - more unique content, more backlinks.

VERY frustrating especially when google never reply to any queries.
