CouponChimp.co.uk

Approximately 2 years old, built from the ground up. Currently receives around 1k Uniques per day with little SEO and no PPC. Built to be SEO-friendly for someone with time to invest in it.

Also includes CouponChimp.com for those wishing to exploit the US market.

Revenue varies massively and largely depends on how much activity we put through Twitter, Facebook etc - and of course, the speed and quality of the discount codes. Average is between £500 and £1,000 pcm. Significantly more potential for those that have time to put in to it though.

Sale includes all custom coding, custom backend and all original graphics in vector format.

Site is currently hosted on a dedicated Rackspace server and will need to be moved (I can assist with this). Dedicated machine by no means necessary though, and I can recommend a shared server that would be suitable for this.

I also have available other 'chimp' branded domains and un-used designs for separate consideration (including a flight comparison site with a very impressive design).

Open to all offers, highest offer received by 5pm BST 16th June gets it.

How does the custom backend work? just attached product feeds for different sections?

No, the backend is a custom control panel that allows you to manage all the merchants (profiles, images), discount codes, offers etc. It's also where reviews and codes added by users are shown for moderation.

Looks like a nice website, can you post some proof of revenue a long with how much the site has made per month for the last 3-4 months, and some screenshots of traffic sources and some screenshots of the back end.

Also can you clarify that you manually add all the coupons and if so how you go about finding them?

Cheers

I'll prepare some revenue proof for tomorrow morning, and any other stats I can get together. I can't unfortunately provide details of traffic sources as we track that with a bespoke package which shows some proprietary information.

Coupons are all added manually and are usually sent by email from affiliate networks or merchants. There are other places I can point you to for additional ones.

Current high offer is £1,200 for CouponChimp and £750 for the other brands.

Can you list these domains?

Can you list these domains?

Most are .co.uk, some have both uk and .com;

BroadbandChimp
FlightChimp (Site Template Design done)
FreebieChimp
InsuranceChimp
LoanChimp
MobileChimp (Site Template Design done)
MoneyChimp
OfferChimp
PaydayChimp
PrizeChimp
StoreChimp
TravelChimp

All have individual logos professionally designed which follow the same branding guidelines - if you look at the couponchimp logo and the flightchimp.co.uk logo you'll see how they've been treated as an example.

Flightchimp site looks really nice and simple. What did you use to build the template?

Great looking site - good income figures too.

One question though - what is your reason for sale?

Thanks,

Richard

I've just created a new startup that is going to take all my attention for the rest of this year and beyond, so I'm selling off anything that could be a distraction to that.

do you have a BIN price ? or will it sell for £1200 if you have no higher offers by 5pm today ?

No BIN price, it will sell for £1200 if no further offers received by 5pm

Not saying theres anything dodgy etc, but are you sure the traffic is 1k per day? I had a site getting 15k per month (500 per day) and had an alexa rank of 300-350k, yours has 4.5million for the 3 month, 6million for the 1 month??

I should clarify that by Uniques I'm referring to Pageviews, which is how our system reports. The average user that knows what they are looking for would generate 3 Uniques. Obviously in some cases people would go direct to the relevant page and only register one unique, others might be looking at the shopping search and generate 15 uniques.

For those interested in the site - when thinking of it's value, look at it from what you can develop it into through time, ppc and seo etc, not what it does now or has done before - the coupon / discount code area is rapidly changing as most affiliates will know.

Yes, I appreciate the last paragraph will probably dent the price I'll get for it ;-)

Hi,

A couple of questions:

1. Does the sale include the weekly digest subscribers list and how many subscribers do you have?

2. Are the twitter and facebook accounts included?

regards
David

1 - Yes. There are currently 11,118 Subscribers. We haven't been sending digests for a few months though.

3 - Yes, these can be transferred to you.

Am very interested - can you delay the 5pm deadline?

Could you post or email me proof of revenue/traffic?

My email is:

(I don't have any room in PM inbox so please email)

Also do you have analytics set up - if so can you set up a guest account so I can login and see info on keywords, referrers etc.

Thanks

Will email you some revenue proof.

We use a bespoke tracking system, so I'm unable to offer access to stats unfortunately.

To be fair to everyone else, I can't extend the deadline further.
