customerhelp.co.uk

this was a dropcatch from 2004 originally
there's a lot of companies using dedicated pages and tags with this phrase

personally i love it but thinking of best use for an enduser
would it be best for one company to use as their dedicated customer help page or good for a uk based company like salesforce?

thoughts appreciated

It's a bit "general", so I'm finding it difficult to envisage the end user.

I've noticed some companies that have an online help section or 'ticket support' area often redirect or use other URLs.

Your 'customerhelp.co.uk' would be an ideal solution for this kind of thing. :)

For example, a web host or banking business could use the URL as an off-shoot from their main site - it's also easy to remember and type in if needs be.

Good luck with it, pred.

I don't think any business would see any real value in it. If a customer wants to contact a business, they will visit the main business URL and look for the 'Customer Services' link. And as for redirecting from customerhelp.co.uk, I can't see any customer typing that into their browser.

As soon as I saw it, I thought something like: http://getsatisfaction.com/

It could be for even the biggest brands for customers opinions, like customerhelp/tesco - or similar.

The site is quite a good idea, but I'm sure most retailers will want to control any comments/suggestions/feedback that's uploaded to the web for public viewing to ensure nothing negative is mentioned about them.

It would give them a chance to respond to customer criticism (and help the customers in the process!)

Companies will want to eliminate the possibility of responding to a lot potentially angry customers in the public eye and risk the chance of making them look incompetent when trying to provide decent customer service; they will want to do that behind the scenes and post questions and answers on a FAQs page, or something similar, on their own site.

Lots of companies use GetSatisfaction which is ran in the public eye, some companies do want to be accountable and show their openness as part of their image.

I'd say how many offers you had since you had it would be good indicator ...

people powered customer service like GetSatisfaction etc principle great reality for you or a company lot of work, time, money to try and compete with others, and bit limited to uk market,

As most companies/brands etc already have which they control forums complaints, technical quires, Q and A etc on there Brand sites why spend money promoting a brand just to have someone complain on a name that’s not the brand…

To try and set up a independent there not going too be over eager to dedicate someone to answer question etc on your site and if they or you are not offering what use is the site it’s a non starter..

Yeah, I noticed a few large companies using the website but they must have dedicated teams that proficiently handle customer queries on the site. Many other companies won't have the resources to do the same.

thanks for the input Guys, much appreciated

too big a job to develop i think so will hold for an enduser.
happy to renew for years and wait for them

failing that i may see if i can trade it for chucklebrothers.co.uk :D
