Support is pretty bad IMO

I would use daily.co.uk or domainmonster.com

Yep, would definitely go with Daily.co.uk and stay a mile away from 123-Reg!

I've not had any bad experiences with 123-reg, everything is easy to use. I also use Daily and they are very good.

I don't think they offer any kind of reseller service. For UK registrations i have been using them ever since i can remember. I like their interface, instant registration. and phone support and reminder systems.

A couple of provisos are - Don't ever need someone at 123-reg over the weekend or holidays - they ain't there.
Ignore their email support service and phone them for real-time solutions (10p a minute)

Could not agree with the above more... I also love their control panel and the options available.

But there email ticket support is a joke and a total waste of time, you get nowhere / tickets closed left right and centre and all the issues I have ever had have never been answered in the email ticket support.

I have a few domain with them, but dread the thought of speaking to them as its a long hard struggle... but still there so that says something.

Run like a horny rhino is giving you the eye.

123-Reg is shocking!

They have a random delay from you buying and paying for a domain, current count is about 27 months, I keep debating asking for a refund but the comedy value of their ineptitude makes it worth while.

I had no idea that names I had registered was not actually being regged until I came to sell a 4 letter girls name domain and found someone else had it, even tho I paid for it months earlier AND i had control of the NameServers in my 123-Reg control panel altho was in someone elses name.

DROP EM LIKE THEY'RE A TICKING BOMB!

Millions of customers, millions of opinions. You will only know for yourself by registering with them and giving it a go. I used them many years ago without issue but I cannot speak for recent times, as others have. Generally I find the larger a company, the worse their customer service / billing - too many departments not communicating with each other. That said i know a few exceptions. Anyway you will more often than not receive fantastic advice on here, however ultimately you will have your own experiences with domain registrars/hosting.
