    Hi All,

Launched www.pressurewasher.co.uk at the beginning of the month.

It's a full Ecommerce site and we are stocking products.

Would be interested to hear your reviews/feedback.

We have set up the following voucher code offering an extra 10% discount:

    NILFISK10

This discount voucher applies to the Nilfisk C110 (Enter at checkout).

Great Xmas present, Amazon are selling for £99.99 and with this discount you can get it for just £62.99!!!

Any help publishing this voucher code and ideas for the site would be great.

    Cheers,

    Ben.

looks really good. blue and yellow is a good combination but my only gripe would be the yellow on white as it allways plays with my eyes.

where it says free delivery I find it hard to read that. and the three information boxes with the yellow background seem to be in my face and detract from the rest of the content on the page if that makes any sense. this little colour issue might not affect the masses though. might just be my crazy eyes.

From a consumer point of view it is a really clean looking site and pleasing on the eye, I checked a few things and they work fine, only thing I suggest is with your product images I didn't realise you could zoom the image until I hovered over it, most sites have some sort of writing saying 'hover image to zoom' or similar. nothing major but could help as most internet users probably wouldn't just assume they can do that.

I have to say Nilfisk, I had one of them with a decking attachment it was really good :D

Nice to see it's not just another aff site

Whenever I look at a new store, I always think to myself "Who are these people?" and "Are they going to be reliable?". I think trust is a massive issue when considering whether to buy from a given store online. People need to be reassured that they are buying from a reliable store, and that their order will get to them in the specified timeframe. I think a video from a company spokesperson talking about the store and how your order will be treated, bank card security etc is a very effective way to instill trust, and therefore this is what I would add, putting it somewhere on the home page (no autoplay though). This video is the one thing that could convince a customer to buy from you, instead of going to the likes of Amazon. In the meantime, I would move the video you already have on the buying guide page, to the home page.

Other than that, the site looks very good. I might be tempted to put a picture of a pressure washer into the logo at the top of the page as well. Also, a picture of a person dressed in "pressurewasher.co.uk" themed clothing on the home page will be another way to build trust.

    Hope that helps.

Having a photo gallery of things going from dirty to clean with a pressure washer would also be a nice touch, perhaps run a competition for photo of the month.

I think quality of the design also does that, sub-conciously I'm thinking "this wouldn't have been cheap".

I have walked away from online stores because they look like they have been designed in the 90's!

Thanks for the positive feedback, we will definitely take on your ideas.

We were thinking of doing a viral video and setting up some competitions.

    Cheers,

    Ben.

    No Https?

Personally I wouldn't buy from an e-commerce store that doesn't have an SSL certificate as I'd want my card details encrypted on the way to the retailer so you should really get one as a priority before heavily promoting it.

Magento is brilliant when it works but upgrading it can be a right PITA I have found.

    Design is nice.

Worth promoting that on the front page?

design is simple awesome. color combination is cool. white-blue-yellow is a nice combination. usually i can't stay long in a dark website like black or gray. product positions are nice. i really like the clean and professional look of the site. categories are also well arranged and places. great job done. very nice.

One of the more cleaner ("cleaner") sites I've seen in awhile. A few typos on the site (ie Delivery Page) so get those corrected (helps with professional look). Other than that I'd buy from you (if I were in UK) :)

I like the design however the site does seem slow to respond when browsing.
