While planning what I'm setting up for 2012 I rediscovered these and would like a bit of insight please.

If you were me, would you sell or develop?

Probably selling instead of developing

Still interested in receiving apprasials on these names please.

I'm leaning more towards selling (hopefully as a pair) and would probably approach some legal firms who specialise in Claims Management........... Also, am I right in thinking that I'll need to be authorised by the MoJ if I was putting a claims site together?

Thanks in advance and Happy New Year to everyone.

OK, so these are "brandable" names, i.e. you think they would make a good brand. Personally, I would not approach companies with "brandable", because there is literally infinite possibilities that they could go off and reg themselves. I would only approach a company if I had the very best generics, i.e. claims.co.uk, injuryclaims.co.uk, accidentclaims.co.uk etc, but it's up to you, whether you think it's worth your time.

With a brandable, I am either going to "hold and hope for offer", or get a site on it. If I put a site on, it's either going to be ranking the name with a for sale notice so the right domain buyers / end users will see it, or going straight ahead and creating a monetised site myself.

In this case, I would probably look to build a monetised site, which I could then sell on if I wanted, as I think the chances of a pure domain sale are low.

Hope that helps.

Great answer, thanks for that.

Completely agree with your reservations about approaching companies with brandable domains. If I were selling these (as well as having a basic site up), I'd be hoping that their broad appeal to the mass market, coupled with the short, descriptive and authority sound of these names would help dissuade anyone from regging something else...... Thanks to your point though I've just made a mental note about how to deal with that particular obstruction if met with it!

Also agree that a monetised site would be ideal and I've already got a decent amount of KW research on file. I'm holding fire on developing until I learn a bit more about the regulations regarding claims sites. Developing would definitely be preferable (there are some fantastic terms out there that shouldn't be too hard to rank for) but just need to make sure I'm covered legally before doing anything.

Thanks again, very helpful
