Hi Bill

Sorry to hear your £2,000 offer you said you had must have fallen through.

Still not 100% sure you why told me an hour AFTER making the post asking for £1,500 BIN, that you were looking for £2,750 BIN, even though you had already listed it in the premium section for £1,500 BIN but was waiting for approval ?

Anyway good luck with the sale :)

Sorry, if i screwed up, i have no experience of this, in reality the first to offer £1000 will get the domain, again apologies

Will

Well unless your auction has a £1,000 reserve (I can't see that it does) then by the forum rules you should be awarding the winner of the auction the domain on the 3rd Feb when the auction finishes?

I'd suggest maybe contacting admin and asking for either these posts or the auction to be removed?

Number of Bids Placed: 26
Highest Bid: £201.00

I was quoted £2750 > £1500 when I emailed.

If accepting massively lower offers its probably worth getting in touch...!

I edited the database to add in manually, I've never done that before so I hope it works.

Please in future take more care when posting your auctions.

Many thanks

Hi Will,

The system doesn't allow auctions to be edited once they received a bid. I guess you forgot to add a reserve?

The domain did not reach the reserve

Edit

Sorry didn't see the previous posts above about requesting a reserve with Admin when posting below:

Apologies.

If you are wanting to continue being a member at AcornDomains i would suggest you honour the auction that you started and complete the transaction with Wayne because i can guarantee that if you don't no one on this forum will trust or do business with you, your reputation in this game is worth more than the £799.

I can confirm that I was asked to add a reserve price to the auction as this was mistakenly not done when it was created. VBclassified does not allow you to edit anything after an auction has received bids so I manually entered the reserve into the database backend.

Unfortunately the VBclassified mailing system didn't pick up my manual edit of the DB and processed the auction as if there was no reserve.

All I can say is can people please be more careful when setting up auctions that they enter the correct information as it seems I can't correct it afterwards.

I have offered the winning bidder a large discount on the reserve price, as a gesture of goodwill, otherwise i will sell to the first offer of £1000

Wouldnt be a clever move.....

I'd trust him, he clearly asked for a reserve to be added and that's been confirmed by Alan unfortunately something went wrong and it didn't work.

Agree, it's just unfortunate.

Thankyou, I have a very large discount on the reserve, I have suggested that 5pm would be a good time for the buyer to decide if he wants this offer, after which the best closed offer will be accepted, please feel free to email your offer to william.smart @ live .co.uk

I will be very transparent on what's happening but will however keep the highest bid and bidder confidential

Regards

Will

It is now officially sold, paid and transferred.

I would just like to say thank-you to Will for being very understanding, I realise it wasnt "completely" your fault, and would not hesitate to deal with you in the future (just not an auction......joke)

So I wish you all the best and thank-you.

Wayne.
