I am not sure if you have a problem with a sticky 0 on your keyboard or you are on drugs but those prices are fairly interesting!

I've got to agree with you thudufusi. I'm sure the whole Nokta set-up is pretty sound. But, it seems their pricing either has one nought or four of them. I reckon it's down to them changing shifts at their 'coalface' office - the new guy gets on the keyboard unaware that £50 to £500 has already been entered, making for a £5,050 or £500,500 listing

This is a sales topic and the original poster can ask whatever price they want ;)

I have bought from Nokta quite recently, through sedo, and the price I paid for a domain of higher quality than most above (IMO) was very low x,xxx. My guess is that others also feel the prices in this thread are somewhat inflated - even by Nokta standards.

But, then again, they have got our attention!

FYI most people in UK are spelling this as Personalised.

    "personalized.co.uk $10'000"

For us at least, its just not worth it. We would need to sell around 20 of these stools to make that back and with a low 880 exacts it will take at least 3 months of hassle just for the domain. A current site which is ranking 4 or 5 is getting 50 visits a month from that keyword. We just wanted a small opencart site on there so i registered wooden-stools.co.uk (yuk) but will still be able to get it to number 1 without too much trouble. If it was £100 i would consider it, but at $850, even as an end user i can’t justify it. Thanks anyway.

I've made some sound profits off nokta domains, and had a good experience selling to them. They charge these prices because they can - They might not make any sales on this thread, but 1 sale from this thread or many like it will justify the time of posting it.

Great names (most of them) shame they are out of the average persons reach!

    Injury lawyers is particularly nice.

And has anyone thought of negotiating rather than baulking at the prices? I got the domain I wanted from Nokta at a very significant discount, it never hurts to ask....

Sometimes negotiating when the gap between the buyer and seller is so large can cause offence to the seller.

What's happened to the rules on here? Is it ok to comment on people's pricing in their sales threads?

For a pleasant change we get some really decent names put on a sales thread and I think the reward the poster gets from mostly ignorant comments are in breach of the category rules.

Some members should try to educate themselves as to why names are valuable and they then might have more success with their own sales. And if they don't think a name is worth what is being asked then they should remember they are probably not the target market.

Following your logic: if someone buys woodenstools.co.uk for say £500 you would be happy to sell the hyphenated version to them for say £20. That's 20% of your £100 valuation of the non hyphenated version.

The hyphenated version was FTR so even less than your 20% example. Really not sure what you are trying to say here.

Now Now, All of the initial comments didn't carry any Malice "Nokta" know their business. It isn't like this is a an 'active contributor' to Acorns Forum was suddenly pulled-apart.

Yep I accept that makes each of judge and jury but, some do like to overplay the comments "right and wrongs"
