Hi all,

I'm looking for a decent SEO company who would be willing to work on a rev share basis on some sites of ours in the UK finance and insurance sector. We had some fantastic (and very profitable!) rankings in the past but have suffered since the penguin update and the business is really finding it hard at present (hence why we can't afford monthly SEO fees and need to go down the rev share route).

We have quite a few sites in various niches - all decent, quality, FSA approved sites with really good unique content, decent social and fairly clean backlink profiles - we just need a bit of help getting them back near the top of the SERPS and will happily share the proceeds with somebody who can help.

If anyone has any recommendations please let me know!

Regards

Paul

The sectors you're in are hugley competitive, and if your sites have been smacked then you're fighting a losing battle.

So you're asking someone else to take all of the risk, put in all of the effort, and only get a percentage of any sales they generate.

They'd be better off setting up their own sites and keeping 100%.

Hi there - you're right in saying these sectors are competitive (about as competitive as you can get!) but the potential rewards are massive. We are not asking for someone to put in all the risk and all the effort though - most of these sites have been developed over years and tens of thousands of pounds has already gone into them in terms of design, content, seo, mobile apps etc... The majority of the effort and risk has already be done!

We are simply asking if anyone can recommend an SEO partner to assist in return for a substantial share of the sites future earnings. We already have some established SEO agencies working on some of our sites in return for a share of the revenue and the business model has worked well for both them and us in the past but with the amount of projects and sites we have we need to find extra resources.

We genuinley don't think we're fighting a losing battle with some of the sites that have lost rankings, the link profiles are pretty good and they have tons of well written unique content so we just need somebody with the knowledge and experience to get them back on track. Indeed a few of the sites are squeaky clean and are progressing nicely up the serps, again we just need some extra resource to help them along!

We initially tried to set up these sites on our own and keep 100% as you suggested others do but over the years we found it's simply impossible to do it all yourself long term - a good partnership can work wonders for all those involved and we can focus on what we do best rather than trying to do everything and getting nowhere. We'd rather have 50% of something than 100% of nothing!

Never heard of good companies giving away there services for free..? If you have to ask seams like you’ve not found one either? I’d be wary that the ones that offer don’t end up destroying whats left of listings?

If they can make something list that’s not then why take only 50% reg there own names and take 100% If you can list a using whatever white or black hat etc tricks and get all the revenue yourself why on earth do it for nothing only to get a share… Services in general cost more than a name if there good then they don’t need a brilliant name?

If you say that why does any seo offer a seo service and not build the sites themselves.

Because they offer seo

as chippyb says - there are lots of seo companies out there who focus soley on seo and don't try to become the merchant, its a case of sticking with what you're best at - not everyone wants to become FSA authorised and go through all their ongoing compliance audits, build quote engines and run a call centre!

There are also quite a few seo companies who work on joint ventures and rev share models and it can work really well for all parties involved - we were just asking if anyone could recommend any seo companies or individuals who could help. This site is a goldmine of information and its always best to get some good recommendations from those in the know rather than just approaching companies randomly, especially when you're offering to give away a share of your business!

If there FSA authorised meeting all there compliance audits, building quote engines and running a call centre! Then the company should have a budget for seo…? Think you'll find most seo companies want a partnership (share of the ownership of an enterprise etc)Ditto joint ventures also they dont tend to be just share of the "profit"..which is what you appear to be offering..? share of the business or share of the profit are totally different...

NOT a chance.

Why work for a rev share, when you could just it your al keep 100%

Companies trade services for ££ not for dreams.
