New iPhone

Just looked at news and seems the release is being reported now as it happens.

However, take a look at the apple web site and all the spec and photos etc is already there lol

Must have put it on before the launch.

 

Just reading about on sky interesting move them releasing a budget option not sure steve would have approved.
Seems a smart move though they were being outdone by the flexibility of android and there was some evidence that cheaper Microsoft handsets were gaining traction in developing markets

 

Ahh didn't see the contract bit hardly budget at all then thought that sounded to good to be true for apple

Can anyone see anything that different to an iPhone 5?

 

They'll have added in the bits that should have been in the iPhone 5 but held back so that they could sell another phone to a bunch of posers

The 5c is a 5 with a pretty case at a high price, almost certainly intended to make the 5s cheap by comparison.

 

I haven't seen anything about the 5S to entice me to "upgrade" from my 5. In 10 months I'd probably be looking to do it all over again when the 6 is released, which will probably have a new design just as the 5 did over the 4S and the 4 did over the 3GS. The fingerprint reader will be nice but I can wait for inevitable improvements with the 6.

What I am quite interested in trying out is the Samsung Galaxy Note III.

 

I'm not feeling the love on Samsung. Just bought a galaxy S4, total heap of proverbial, as I walked out the shop I just knew it was a mistake and should have carried on with my old nokia N98 - it held a charge for 3.5 days

I've gone off Apple and going to get an S4 or HTC next. I'm not one to change my phone that often and what really pee's me off with Apple is that you can't change the battery. It's easier to perform heart surgery than do it yourself. I have an iphone 3 which there is nothing wrong with. I still use as an ipod but holds charge for about 3 hours. I have an ipad2 which is starting to run down quicker and take longer to charge up, and a ipad mini which will no doubt go the same way eventually. Why should I have to upgrade?

I've got a £15 samsung phone, no idea which model. Now I think about it, I couldn't even tell you when I seen it last. I don't think I've touched it in a couple of weeks.

ipad mini for me - small enough to fit in jeans pockets so I can carry it around day to day. I'd rather have better internet access than the ability to make calls. And it really makes sense for anyone building websites to just go with whatever model currently has the biggest marketshare, for website testing purposes. The Apple ones are clear winners there so its an easy choice.

 

Not that clear cut anymore android are starting to kick arse on the tablet front as well this year just like they did with phones
