(I appreciate that there has already been a thread about the .com)

I bought this while the Chancellor was still on his feet introducing the idea, thinking it may be of use to my own (financial) business, but have done nothing with it.

    Any thoughts on value ?

    Or offers ?!

My initial feeling was that its worthless, but I would swap it for a pickled egg.

I would say it was worth more two weeks ago, than it is today.

Since the announcement that the FLS can't be used from February next year on home mortgages, and will just be for business, I guess its lost a bit of value.

However, it may well be worth developing, as if they ever reverse that decision (you know what politicians are like) it could prove quite lucrative.

FLS and HTB are to different government schemes so help to buy mortgages should not be effected by last weeks announcements.

As for value I sold the .com for low xxxx the buyer is an acorner so maybe they will make you an offer so they have the set.
Help to buy mortgage funds are expected to be released fully in January 2014 so you may get a bit more interest then.
Its one of those names you cant hold onto to long though because as spider says politicians flip flop all the time on things. So only time will tell how long this type of funding stays in place

The domain could work to capture first time buyer mortgage leads, but even so, I think trying to sell the domain will be difficult. So, not that valuable IMO.

Are you already doing this with one of your own sites? I've got www.FirstTimeHouseBuyer.co.uk and I'm considering monetisation options!

No I don't. However, obvious potential monetisation options would be to take direct advertising, or to find a company to sell leads to. For some inspiration with lead generation, Adam Dicker from TheArtOfTheName.com has done some relevant video blogs, albeit for the US market.
