    Hi Guys

I am looking to get a few more likes for my LowPrices.co.uk Facebook page at:

    https://www.facebook.com/pages/LowPricescouk/153945721335558

If you have a Facebook page for your shopping or hobby site, and are looking for more likes, I may be prepared to Like your page in return for you liking mine. PM me the url and I'll tell you if we can do an exchange. Please do not take offence if I can't like your page, as there are some page topics I don't give likes for.

Anyway, PM me if you're interested.

If I can't do a personal like, then I might be prepared to Like with the LowPrices.co.uk page, although that won't show up in your number of likes, but it will still give you a chance to promote your offers to me, and obviously I do shop online!!

    Thanks

Could you give a detailed explanation why this is a good idea and a worthwhile use of time?

    Thanks

Sure, it takes me a few seconds to make a forum post, and it will help me increase awareness of LowPrices.co.uk. Anytime anyone likes anything on Facebook, then all their friends can see it. Ultimately, this should help me increase sales.

    Are you sure?

One of the reasons we stopped using FB for anything, was because they stopped this. Only certain people may see it is how it was changed. And not everyone who likes a page, sees all the post that page makes.

Its likely not... popular pages have 10's of thousands of likes. Spending time manually exchanging 1 single like at a time seems an awfully big waste of resources and is a suckers game.

You could spend 10 hours going back and forward in pm's to add 100 likes. You'd be far better off taking your chances using this 10 hours to create good content that stood a chance of getting legitimate likes on its own ?

You should see the time I waste posting on Acorn and other forums!!! (No, not really, it's valuable for "learning")

I think the "create good content instead" comment is a fair one, and one I will do in future, but at this stage, for this site, I'm happy to ask for like exchanges. That's because price comparison isn't a specific niche, and therefore it's quite difficult to get follows, so for now I'll just ask to see if there are other webmasters in the same situation.
