    Hi,

I've currently got a WebHostingBuzz (or Jolt as they're now called) reseller account and am thinking of moving to Smart Hosting.

As a non techie I'm just wondering how easy Cpanel transfers are? Is it something I can do myself?

Do all settings (email accounts, DNS etc) remain the same within the new account?

Thanks Martin - would this include all settings (eg MX records associated with a domains email)? For example I have email set up via Zoho mail for one of these domains, just a bit paranoid about losing access to it?

Do you have root access to both servers? If so, you just run the transfer tool and it does it all for you.

You just need to change the nameservers etc.

It should do if you use the transfer tool, best to take a screenshot on the old server as it will automate changes to the new ip./ dns zone

If you are able to do a WHM->WHM transfer, then it will pull everything AND tweak the DNS zone on the original server to point to the new one leaving you to just update the nameserver records at leisure (not too leisurely if you intend to close the old account!)
