Comfy - £7k

Indeed, Well done. I like the word and you can easily see it going to work. but that's still a great end-user price in todays uk market - would have probably made just a couple of hundred on domainlore. Was there much negotiation on reaching that price ??, either way thanks for sharing

I could just look, but figure worth adding inthread.

Did it include rights / .uk ?

More importantly did .uk even come up or play any part ?

Nice sale, was it a sale generated through outreach or a direct enquiry ?

Congrats! Can you share any of the negotiation details?

Looks like it did include .uk rights.

Nice branding for a sofa company.

Contact came direct, their was an old magento ecommerce site on it, it did zero rev, negotiations started low x,xxx with me going back at just into £xx,xxx , probably about 3 or 4 emails going to and back, then agreed on the price, all done and dusted in about 48 hours. .UK didn't play a part until I mentioned it.

I think I picked the domain up off a member on here back in 2011 for about £350 I believe

Pretty happy with the sale, agree that it's great branding for a sofa company and that's their plan I believe.

I did originally have plans to dropship sofa/furnitures, hence the Magento site on it, however never had time, I also had a plan to sell super comfy clothing, but always swayed to building a brand for that idea on Comfys.co.uk

Well done Max, getting closer to the Cayman.

I look at them probs once a week, if I wasn't London based I'd have got one, just can't really justify it when I currently use my car about once a month!

There was me thinking he wanted to move to the Cayman Islands until I read further on. Hope you saw sense and sold your slot, but don't tell me. :)

Even more reason to get one! You will add no miles to it and have minimal maintenance and petrol costs!

Congrats on the sale!

Did you escrow it?
No it wasn't escrow'd , think a mutual trust was there from the start, buyer was London based, so was I etc.

Depreciation would still be kicking in though, albeit it less as less mileage on it, but still it'd be a bit of a waste just sat there
