Has anyone on here been affected? We have 12 - 14 inches in the garden and rising!! the conditions are terrible in near by villages.

I have been moving my parents out of their home today as it is completely swamped. It's unreal what the rain is causing, there are some serious issues with the UK drainage system at the moment.

hope it eases off for us all.
i guess it doesnt help when we keep what the victorians so amazingly built & don't improve for 100 years lol
chaos up here in dervbyshire too
it rains all the friggin time up here anyway, just worse now.
local river has burst its banks, luckily not a huge river & we are pretty high up in the town
Lee? you did well getting out of this rainsoaked cesspit! lol

I'm not sure what you mean, it topped 95F the past few days, and the only floods I'm experiencing are all the girls near me and the sweat rolling down my back. It's still 90F now and it's almost 10pm. They're predicting 102F tomorrow and then it will cool right back down to 90/92F.

I'll suffer in the winter though, minus 20 and all that skiing.

we've skipped summer and moved straight to autumn. There's tumbleweed rolling past the window and the streets are littered with this years foliage!

welcome to sunny (more like sodden) lancashire!

Got a friend in Kiev. He's suffering... all those tight tshirts. Not good for the heart!

Unlucky that poor chap that got stuck in a drain in hull, RIP that man.

no matter how bad the weather, I'm just glad the band wagon for global warming has not been on the news.

Normally about now I would be gloating and saying why don't you move to Australia but unfortunately we're in the middle of one of the wettest and coldest June's on record, I have to wear a fleace day and night as we don't have central heating here, roll on the summer!

Strange that aint it, apparantly they had several hours to try to get him out, I'm finding it difficult to understand how it couldn't be done, the poor sod, that's some bad luck aint it. He arrives at the pearlies and God says "we've already got gates mate" he says "don't be a.... I got me foot stuck."

I was going to say the same here but like Sydney we in Brisvegas are getting a nippy 17C here!

...Only just got back from Glasto - rain, rain and more rain - mud upto your privates and... well - I'll post some pictures later

Regards.

Sneezy.

I hope they don't cremate that chap, have to leave it a few weeks for him to dry out a bit.

Probs with you on that Lee, why on earth didn't they chop his leg off? They should have tied him to a helicopter and ripped him out of that drain. What ever parts stayed attached to this chap would have been a bonus, but he would have had a better chance at life. I think there is going to be some serious questions to be asked about this one.

Suppin a beer in me back garden

I'm having a conservatory fitted at the mo' and the bricks were supposed to be delivered today from up North. Never turned up! Must be stuck somewhere?

I'd love to immigrate to Cyprus or Canada before this dump goes any further down hill. Can't persuade the missus though. :(
