If anyone's wondered who our Mr Grandin is, then please see here from todays BBC Working Lunch program (about 13 mins into the show):

Regards,

Sneezy.

Trust you Sneezy to find that one! The lighting did not get my best side but it was good fun and gave my staff something to laugh about!!!

Snnezy we must catch up and tell me about virgin...

Oooh we have a celebrity member! can I have your autograph Lee?

p.s. Can I interest you in a futures trading account so you can have a flutter on interest rates ;)

Well done Lee, its great to see you famous and stuff although you look like you need a few early nights mate :)

You seem to know your stuff!

I was on Australian TV for 3 seconds in April :)

Well done Lee!

Maybe we should have a thread about TV appearances ;)

I was in the music vid for a Bruce Hornsby tune "the way it is" you probs remember the Tup pac cover of it. Anyway its a classic tune.

Was about 11 and they showed it on TOTP but we where too poor to own a VCR so never recorded it, so none of the kids at school believed me

I once saw leeowen on crimewatch does that count?

I was once on Radio 2 talking about the state of English Cricket.

Must be going back about 15 years now when i was 10 / 11. Face for the radio you see!

Well I was on The Apprentice for a few seconds but you don't hear me bragging about it! Oh hang on a sec... :)

P.

That must be the quickest 'you are fired' in history... :)

Apparently I was seen several times in the background of a late 1970 series (oops that gives my age away!) which I think was called Gangsters. It was something to do with Chinese Triads and drugs. I never saw it but several people at the time told me they saw me as they used the warehouse entrance to the shop I was working in at the time as a backdrop. I remember them filming it but at the time had no idea what it was.

I think it was mainly the first episode I was in so if anyone has it, I'd love to see it. I don't hold out a lot of hope though.

PS preferably not on betamax or am I showing my age again?

Dave

classic song ... reminds me of drives back from summer holidays :)

video cameras

What interesting is that with the onset of video cameras the shock of how you look or act on screen is less of a shock....I have learnt to accept myself...LOL

I was once interviewed live on the BBC 6 o'clock news after the Euro96 England Spain quarter final at Wembley

I went there with a group of friends after one of them couldn't use his ticket, I don't even like football and didn't really know any of the players. My mates all thought it was really funny seeing me trying to talk about something I knew nothing about. No change there then :)

When I was 11 I entered an Elvis Presley competition with Liverpool's BBC Radio City and sung "teddy bear" live on air. When the votes came in I unfortunately came in 2nd place. I was beaten by a 4 year old girl singing "wooden heart". It was at this early time in my life I decided to find a new career.... :???:

To this very day I only think she won because she was so young

Hi Lee,

Your PM box is rammed full so I cant reply back to you. :)
