Hi all,

I've been looking for some good Product Managers to help take 123-reg and WebFusion to the next level. I do lurk in the forums and understand the frustrations that some of you have with different services that we offer. On the other hand, I think there are a lot of great features and products that we can offer you and appreciated seeing the positive notes. Either way -- we can do better, but we need your help.

I am looking for smart, knowledgable, business-minded experts who can help me in creating a more user-friendly environment for our customers, more attractive and innovated products to offer, and really take control of the product to get involved in every aspect of our business. You've used our service and other services... wouldn't you like to take your ideas and make them a reality? This is your chance. I wanted to come directly to you to see if anybody out there has what it takes to help bring 123-reg to the next level.

You can find full details on Monster: Product Manager -- Web Hosting Jobs Uxbridge, London

Feel free to send your CVs, gripes, or any other questions to me at [email protected].

I hope to hear from you!

Regards,

I'm glad to see you recognise some of the issues reported here over the years.

The biggest frustration for me was when your affiliate programme was taken offline overnight with just a message saying
We are currently in the process of a major upgrade to the affiliate control panel. Unfortunately we are currently unable to show your commission information. However, the new control panel will be launched soon, providing you with a massive improvement in the information you can access and user experience.
We apologise for any inconvenience but believe us, it will be worth it!
which has been there for months. Have I accrued any commission since? There is no option to check your balance any longer.

Very unprofessionally handled IMO

I agree. I'd be upset as an affiliate myself, so I apologize for this inconvenience. It was handled unprofessionaly. It wasn't meant to take this long and basically comes down to internal processes that are now being reviewed and changed due to new blood in the company and some other internal politics that we wish to stamp out. I hope that you see better from us in the future.

Corporate answer... I know, but I'll definitely use your post to fuel the fire to see if we can do something to done faster.

If you send me your user information I can get the balance for you.

123-reg is shocking.

when I see a domain on its tag I feel physically sick..

my knees go weak and I need to sit down.

yes I do sadly have a few domains wrapped up with their hideous pre web 2.0 control panel designed by a late 90's porn/web ring master...

123 reg = all the gear no idea.

Ive never had a problem Matt with 123.

I have a few hundred domains with your guys and register new names on a regular basis, I guess im not making a great deal of revenue bu every bit helps I guess.

The support response used to be very slow, although the problem was normally solved in 1 hit, im not sure of your MTTR on incoming fault tickets but Id wager you were not meeting your sla.

Email response is much better over the last 9 month, most replies coming within 2 days which is perfectly resonable, I will continue to register through you.

Likeways to the above. Never had any problems with 123-Reg.
The communication (or lack thereof) from Customer Service is very appalling but other services are responsive.

The registration of domains needs seriously speeding up. I have lost out on domain with this problem.

Do you offer a way to monetize domains directly through 123 (i.e. using a parked domain facility - google ads etc)? If not, then this would be ideal. Register a new domain and you instantly have a parked site - sweeeeeeeet!

If you offered this where the end user got most of the revenue then you'd be in a better position in the market place I think.

I've never had any problems with 123 until recently when i've purchased a couple of .at domain names and it wont let me change the nameservers, so at the moment they are useless to me.

I just get the following error...

Error text: Command not supported.
If you are attempting to modify nameservers for an .eu domain, we are currently looking into this issue.
please try again later.

The domains are .at not .eu and nothing seems to be being done to fix the issue.

100% agree with all of above

I had a problem of paying 123-Reg money to register my domains, have them appear in my control panel, receiving a confirmation email they were registered, seeing them appear registered on the site's WHOIS as registered...... then realising from a Nominet WHOIS that they were still available!

Nominet informed me they had received a LOT of complaints of this happening but could not do anything as 123-Reg were escaping via a loophole they put in their T+C.

I got so sick of them I gave up trying to get the money back.

Oh, in answer to the original question... "Hate it!!!" (and please stop sending me emails to renew domains I transferred out over a year ago. You've had enough free money from me already).

P.S. Those of you who are happy, you may want to use Nominet's WHOIS to check the domains in your control panel are actually registered to you!

Hate It and would only work there if I got to take a drum of napalm in with me.

Call me Skinner Fawkes :)
