Adsense on betting sites?

Can anyone provide clarity surrounding whether or not I can feature Adsense on my betting related website? I've heard so many conflicting reports and I just don’t know where I stand.

I was under the impression Google didn't monetise adult or gambling traffic? If so, why bother with Adsense.

* Pornography, adult, or mature content
* Hacking/cracking content
* Illicit drugs and drug paraphernalia
* Excessive profanity
* Gambling or casino-related content
* Content regarding programs which compensate users for clicking on ads or offers, performing searches, surfing websites, or reading emails
* Excessive, repetitive, or irrelevant keywords in the content or code of web pages
* Deceptive or manipulative content or construction to improve your site's search engine ranking, e.g., your site's PageRank
* Sales or promotion of weapons or ammunition (e.g., firearms, fighting knives, stun guns)
* Sales or promotion of beer or hard alcohol
* Sales or promotion of tobacco or tobacco-related products
* Sales or promotion of prescription drugs
* Sales or promotion of products that are replicas or imitations of designer goods

Although you do see sites with adverts on them, poker strategy seems to be allowed for example.

Depending on the nature of your site it's worth contacting them and asking.

In my experience you will be warned first to remove any offending ad's rather than just simply having your account shut down.

Also you could open a separate adsense account so that if anything did go pear shaped it wouldn't compromise any existing hard work.

Like I said - ask them, they do allow certain types of gambling related ad's depending on the nature.

They approved my gambling (poker) forum a few years ago. I wasn't sure if it would be allowed which was why I specifically mailed and asked. I would suggest you do the same.
