Bluebells & Seashells formed online in 2009.
Bluebells & Seashells is the creation of two people who share a passion for Great Britain and who wish to reignite the love that we seem to have lost for our wonderful group of islands.
Whether you are looking for Cottages in Wales, Norfolk or Scotland or a Bed & Breakfast in Devon, Cornwall or Northern Ireland, we have thousands of unique and interesting properties to choose from. Our goal is to list every holiday cottage/B&B in the United Kingdom by location, and expand this to overseas properties.
The website currently has over 6000 property listings increasing daily, including 2000 direct listings with property owners and 4000+ affiliate properties which are linked to the following providers.

How many website visitors per day?
Between 2010-2015 the website received approximately, 100 -150 visitors per day
2015-2016 We redeveloped the website in a different platform to further extend the number of properties and thus pages listed in search engines.
Are these statistics recorded?
Yes we have Google Analytics data to cover 6 years.
Do Holiday Cottage/B&B owners pay to be listed?
Yes original members and some existing members did pay £25-30 per year to be listed.
Will there be any repeat revenue from existing members?
Yes this is possible, but the source of revenue should progress towards affiliate sources.
Have there been many visitor bookings/enquiries?
Yes we have a spreadsheet of over 5000 recorded holiday let property enquiries from the website since being online in 2009.
SUPPORT:
Web content management support for 1 month after purchase, if 80-90% of the asking price is met then 3 months web content management support will be offered.
I would estimate that of those 2000 direct listings (non affiliates) around 10-20% will renew.

INVESTMENT MADE:
Initial investment was made in 2009 by the owner Jo, working in public relations for over 15 years and brings with her an extensive network of media contacts and experience of creating column inches across newspapers, the internet, radio and TV.
In 2015 significant investment was again made to redevelop the website when a new business partner came onboard. The website was redeveloped in Joomla with the JomHoliday component. 8 months of development and data input were undertaken to bring the website to the stage it is now.
The JomHoliday component categorises each property into Town, Region, Country and maps the location by latitude and longitude onto a Google map. There is also the option of Google street view, YouTube video integration.
