I'm sure many have been reading this cookie thread like I have, seeking guidance and info about these new ridiculous cookie laws.

I have added a super solution today on Wait.co.uk which displays the cookie notification at the header of the page using this script, which only costs $5:

EU Cookie Law Script

Kevin, the author has speedily assisted me today with my implementation of the script, which I've also customised a little.

Just a heads up for anyone looking for a decent, easy to implement script that looks nice, that won't bust your bank account.

Hope this helps people anyway.

Looks pretty good, but there are so many free ones out there that do the same or more!

I've only been looking at the civic solution so far but that isn't quite what I want, the one above seems to fit the bill but confused about licensing cost for several (50+ sites). Blossom care to share a link for free one that look similar?

Yes - me too.

I really like the Guardian.co.uk solution. That seems good way to proceed.

i have somebody looking at implementing that using this - http://www.maxblogpress.com/plugins/msa/

Problem is that I don't really want to have to configure plugins etc for 400 sites!

Stephen.

For WordPress

http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/eu-cookie-directive/

(not too difficult to style how you want).

There's another one for WP but I tried it and I didn't like it - search the directory and there are probably more.

For any sites:

http://demos.dev.wolf-software.com/
http://cookieq.com/CookieQ/GetButton
http://www.heartinternet.co.uk/eu-cookie-law.html

All with various levels of compliancy/intrusiveness/complexity.

There's another fairly similar one called Hello Bar: http://www.hellobar.com/

I think you'll be stuck configuring plugins unless you have some kind of global management system!
