...is indexed in Google?

All I do is, go to Google, type in keywords related to my site and see if my site is listed in the results, also check mysitename.co.uk first to see if that is listed, if it's not yet indexed, no point searching for keywords yet.

Or you can install the Google Toolbar, and then on the Page Rank dropdown use the "Cached snapshot of page" option.
