    Hey all :)
Just been on the phone to nominet trying to find out some information on one of my names, particularly when it was first registered.
I must say they came across as quite rude, and they may have suspected that i was a scammer of some sort, but the short of it was NO - not unless you are police of have a court order. Im not after names, just dates.

All they did was read what i could have read from a who-is output.

Is there any possible way of finding this out ?
    TIA

Try www.domaintools.com as that sometimes throws up historical dates, or you could try www.archive.org to see if there has been domain history which will narrow dates down a bit.

Post the domain. Maybe someone has a log from the droplist on the day it dropped last. That will have its last whois data on at least.

I can probably give you the previous date if you pm me the domain, depends on how long ago you registered it though.

Do a Google search for the full domain name in quotes, like this "example.co.uk" and then go into the "Search Tools" setting and change the date range from "Any time" to "Custom range...". Leave the "From" blank and choose a "To" date that's just before when you first registered the domain name.

If Google indexed any reference to the domain name prior to your registration, the above search should turn it up... Won't necessarily give you the first registration date, but at least you'll have SOME information about its earlier history!
