Yeah, the "quick links" menu down the left of the page.

I seem to have a category box showing with some spurious entry to it that I can't change.

I untick the box for "categories" on the "Site Layout" page and that removes it.

This is how I have my site layout page if that's any help ? :

Nav Bars
Left Nav Bar (ticked)
Right Nav Bar (unticked)
No Nav Bars (unticked)

Modules
Description (unticked)
Categories Do not display (ticked)
Featured Item (unticked)
Article Links (unticked)
Links (unticked)

Left
Description (ticked)
Categories (unticked)
Article Links (unticked)
Links (ticked)

Middle
Description (unticked)
Categories (unticked)
Featured Item (ticked)
Article Links (unticked)
Links (unticked)
Display Main Page Products (ticked)

Or if you want, if you PM me your login details, I'll set the quick links menu up like mine is as an example on one of your sites, and you can then replicate it on your other sites.

Cheers Systreg I've got it working.

The problem seemed to be that I'd inadvertently set the links to 100 in the site layout section - putting it back to 1 sorted it out.

I owe you another pint

yes - you point your domain at their servers.

I thought id have a play with this and put a site together, I bought an un registered domain last saturday! put a "site" together and just had a look now its had 30 hits (no sales as yet) and is indexed by google in under a week, i`m very impressed, this is the way forward.
