Anyone else getting absolutely sick to death of the deluge of SEO spam emails lately?!

"I thought you might like to know why your website isn't performing..."

Please for the love of God, stop spamming us!! </rant>

Why does someone offering leading SEO skills use a gmail address with random numeric strings! Surely a leading SEO would be demonstrating the benefit of a good domain name.

Think they're all automated spam emails.

Most likely if you signed up they'd buy a few thousand spam links from fiverr and direct them at your site.

And I've been getting about a dozen a day with varying content from various gmail accounts - each email ends in 'This is today's free bonus - click here.
You have been a subscriber to our newletter ... blah blah - Click here to manage your subscriptions -

Needless to say I've not clicked but there's no filtering with Apple mail on ipad so I have to grin and bear it, or is there?

I remember Rob was getting some from a business to his personal address so he found the guys mobile number and began calling him at like 3am asking him why he was being spammed.

I've done something similar, especially with people who sent out mass e-mails using CC instead of BCC. I've replied to all thanking them for their entire customer list.

The gmail ones are problematic though. If you can, have fun with them, that'll piss them off. I recently had one from a "woman" who was "stuck without any money"...but she could use her computer.

I asked how much she needed then offered her more, saying she could buy an ice cream whilst she waited on her flight.

Sometimes you just have to fight fire with fire.

Of the same annoyance factor, It's the deluge of do you want to by my domain of late, There isn't a day go by that I don't get a couple

"Which is very close to your .........com domain"
"Which is shortly to come on the market"
"Which I'm looking to sell to help ........"
"which you hold the .com of"
"which is a one-off offer"

tbh I have found some of the above quite useful. They check the drop lists to find suitable candidates and then prime their list to spam. I find if they don't get any takers they don't actually reg the name. You calculate the drop date for the .com and around 8pm gmt it just might come ftr.

Spam for SEO services is the most ironic.
If they were any good at SEO, they would not have to spam.

If they have a website, I go to it, check it for SEO qualities, give them free SEO advice and tell them to F**k OFF!

I have been getting them for years! Very annoying ... and the ones that try to sell you the domains you have dropped.

At the moment there seems to be something called "gscraper" coming out of China which is spamming some of my sites and some of my customers sites. I wish Google would do something about it.

I run a business related to SEO, and we sit at number 1 for all our target keywords, yet we still get them.
'I was looking at your site, and its very good, but we can help you rank better in Google' yeah, right, of course you can.......

Also get the ones where they offer monthly services, and list exactly what they will do each month.

And then the ones from the web designers......

And then the photo retouchers contacting the photography sites......

And the domain ones me offering similar domains.........

And lets not forget the viagra ones.......
