SDS - Shell Version
This runs in an SSH shell, putty is the most common terminal program
The SDS Version is a single EPP socket standalone script, you can run this in multiple SSH session windows and costs £89 + vat

SUITE - Shell Version
The suite runs in an SSH shell, its a total of 6 scripts and a terminal menu front end. Includes the SDS (above) , a 6 EPP socket version, a bulk robin catch script for domain list management, catching and registration and four utility scripts, costs £299 + vat

UTILITIES - Shell Version
These scripts are bundled with the suite but are also available on their own, and contains four scripts for the registration and amanagements of domains via a shell, ideal for program incorporation.or standalone, costs £49 + vat

Shell Hosted.
Instead of purchasing the software, you can lease the full suite version, from us pre installed on a server without a contract. Cost is £85 + vat per month

Windows Suite
This software is a browser based version that runs on any device, just unpack into the root or sub domain of your web server, it contains these facilities :

Launcher - Create multiple catch instances directly from any browser
Dac Check - Get realtime statistics to you DAC limits
Tools - Run any toos concurrently with catching instances
Precheck - Precheck your Nominet configuration status
Account ID - Check any domain for its EPP Account ID
Register - One shot Domain registration
Renew - Add years to any domain name
Delete - Remove any domain name on your tag
Information - Get details of any domain name on your tag
Upload - Change your configuration key for different tags
White Lable - Add you logo and information to White Lable

Cost is £199 + vat

Windows hosted
As with the shell hosted, you can lease this software from us pre installed on a server without contract. Costs is the same at £85 + vat per month.

Hi, this looks interesting but as a newbie i'll need you to explain in laymans terms.

if you don't mind i have a number of questions.

1. Is this a stand alone software?
2. can i run and operate it from my windows machine or i need a VPS?
3. how does it compare in speed/success to commercial options like dropcatcher.co.uk
4. do i need to be a nominet member and get my own tag?

sorry if you have answered some of this in the original post but i didn't grasp it.

No probs, answers below :

Yes, you can purchase the shell or windows version to put on your own server

Both standalone versions will need a server, or you can choose the hosted version where we do the server side

3. how does it compare in speed/success to commercial options like dropcatcher.co.uk
We dont compare, but have a few hundred customers that have caught well, and many that used the hosted service continuously.

4. do i need to be a nominet member and get my own tag?
Yes, you will need an IPS tag and the DAC service

Sounds great, a few things: This link https://dropcatchsoftware.uk does not even resolve so that does not fill me with confidence.

I looked here https://dan.com/domain-seller/design-technology-ltd-transcom?&results=50&order_by=relevance and its mostly reg-fee junk and .org.uk's - can you post a few good domains that have been caught using your software recently ..e.g show me the money..

On the homepage: https://transcom.net/ your giving everyone 30% discount on "all services" but only 25% on this post.

https://dropcatchsoftware.uk does resolve ok, what error are you getting ?

As you will see the domains on dan are extremely old, and none of these were caught by the software, and apart from developing the software over the last few years we dont ourselves actively chase, but all we can say is that there are several hundred sales and many on the monthly hosted service for some time, (some in excess of 2 years)... so can presume the system is worthwhile for them.

Correct, the homepage of Transom ISP does say 30% off, thats for the core hosting and domains, the dropcatch software remains at 25% for acorn members.
