Is there a UK based escrow service?

Please don't shoot me if I add that this is one of the reasons using UK based Transpact.com is such a no-brainer - with its fixed fees, and no percentage related escrow fees.

Is there a UK based escrow service?

Caz, I think you misunderstand how the FSCS works in the case of Transpact.com. Because Transpact.com is holding client money in segregated client accounts specially for clients, then the FSCS works just as it does for solicitor client accounts and the client (not Transpact.com) is...

Is there a UK based escrow service?

I think you will find that being HMRC registered does mean that all directors and employees involved in handling money have been individually checked out by HMRC. I don't think HMRC's money-laundering team would agree with your assessment, but you are free to your opinion (we live in a free...

Is there a UK based escrow service?

Caz, You are correct, the FSA registration doesn't count for much, although it does mean that money held separately for clients by Transpact.com is safe by law if the company ever becomes insolvent. But the HMRC registration is much more important, as it means that HMRC have checked that both...

Is there a UK based escrow service?

Yes, there is a UK based Escrow service. www.Transpact.com It is FSA and HMRC registered. And ideal for your purposes. Always check that the escrow service you use is listed on an online Government register (Transpact.com is both on the FSA online register and the HMRC online register).

Sedo Escrow Sales - Appearinng in Domainprices and elswhere

Merrows, The AcornDomain's forum isn't really the place for a discussion of the excellent Transpact.com service (unless it relates to domain sales - which in your case I believe it doesn't). You have been given a full specification of a secure encrypted web service by the Transpact.com...

Sedo Escrow Sales - Appearinng in Domainprices and elswhere

The back-end (the functional part of the site) is finished and tested. Only two on the front end Transpact.com pages (case studies and blog) are still being finalised. Due to the vagaries of Google, as anyone on this blog can surely tell you, launching a new site can mean weeks of...

Sedo Escrow Sales - Appearinng in Domainprices and elswhere

Since you have asked, I believe that I can let you know that there is now a UK escrow service (registered with the FSA) that is set up to allow domain transfers. It is so new (launched today) that the case studies (one of which is for Domain transfers) are not even up yet (the page is still...

    TrustedFriend.com

Hi TW, Last time I checked, MoneyBookers.com only offered escrow for sale of goods and not for sale of services, such as domain transfer. Has that changed ?

How many of us are there?

Die-hard domainers: do you still register “useless” names?

The world's population is growing. Held for long enough useless can become gold. And you only need a 1 in 20 name conversion rate to make it worthwhile in the long run. The only bummer is the possible future expansion of .com/.net/etc domain names. That could kill everything one day.

    .co.uk - asked for a price

'clicks per day' doesn't tell a story. It is the quality of those clicks, and the expectation of those clickers, that matters. I quality click ready to buy is worth more than 20 maybe clicks fighting against, say, Amazon.
