Extraditions

Anyone else find the last two extraditions to the US disturbing? Surely if their alleged crimes are worthy of extradition then they must've been breaking a law here and could've been prosecuted here.

Certainly. It's unjust. If I was either of those guys I'd have gone AWOL. It's a shame when you can't even rely on your own country to defend its citizens.

Also, and equally as disturbing, today the US have confirmed that the US soldier who went on a killing spree in Afghanistan shooting and burning approx 16 civilians, including kids - has been flown home to America to avoid justice in Afghanistan.

Who is going to try and stand upto these people? Oh yeah, Iran tried...see where that gets them?

The latest one is equally confusing though, both alleged crimes are crimes that surely could've led to trial here.

And Chelski have just scored a fourth. Will the US want the Napoli defence extradited before they can fly back to Italy?
