What were your thoughts behind registering it and who you might sell it to?

I'm assuming you havent had a family member touched by this illness?

Delete it straightaway...........would be the right thing to do.

Why? would it? Why do you assume in some way I am trying to sell a cancer cure or trick people. It’s extremely searchable and people will search this. There could also be a cure found tomorrow.

Why? because historically this type of registration has been abused/missused - that's why!

Ok. It seems people get upset by reading cancer cure. Cure cancer would be ok? So a site dedicated to research, information, donations, etc. There is probably already a cure not yet discovered or made available. It’s not saying, here is a cure for cancer today! I asked for thoughts and I accept all comments. People shouldn’t be scared to talk about things, but also jump straight to wrong conclusions

If someone finds the cure for cancer they aren't going to need some crappy .uk domain in order to get the word out.

I think the ethical/moral dilemer here is someone wanting to profit from, stand in the way of or misrepresent a subject which rips through peoples lives daily, I remember the same feelings being surrounded the ebola domains during the epedemic and there being a heated debate about those and their ethical stance.

Whether you get it or not, people have their opinions on these types of domains......as you've found out :D

It’s not crappy. That would be crappy.uk also it doesn’t need to be for a cure.

From what you've posted here, and the domains you've posted in other threads, it doesn't suggest you yet have a grasp of what makes a good domain. When asking for opinions, take it all in, there is a wealth of experience and knowledge on here and whilst responses may seem a little brash at times, it is done to help you avoid racking up too many reg fees on domains you are unlikely to ever sell. It is usually said that if you are asking for opinions on domains you have registered, in all likelihood, you don't know why you registered them either. Good luck, but don't waste your fivers on regging these, or submitting them to Domainlore (in the case of the others).

The odds on the domain being viable in a timescale that makes the regging of it rational, must be truly galactic. There's a reason we don't see domains that if true would be worth millions topping search terms. "freeneverendingcashforyou.net, liveforever.io, growtaller.com, neverdie.org.uk, and probably the worlds most valuable domain if it could actually deliver it's meaning might be say nextweekslotterywinningnumbers.com" or maybe a shorter version. If one wants to to be that optimistic, theoretical, existential, then yeah all of these 'theoreticals' could come into reality tomorrow, but don't hold your breath.

There must be a reason we don't see these domains topping domain sale records for a domain and searches?? So suppose the answer to worthiness of cancercure lies on a similar plane.

But lets say there is cure cancer tomorrow [breaking all known rules of science along the way as cures don't exist that's why no drug company describes anything as a 'cure', gov researchers do, actual drug companies don't, what they do is provide treatments that work on some people but never all] it's unlikely to add much value to your domain.

It's too big an idea, even a dotcom couldn't corner it. The cure would be given a branded name not a generic one leaving cancercure as one of probably millions of domains and websites trying to earn a few quid off the affiliate scheme assuming one was available which there wouldn't be because as the first medical cure in human history, why would they need affiliates???.They wouldn't even need to advertise. You would have waited all that time, possibly years just to be like a derivative payday loan affiliate page.

So lets say you battled past all that, then you've only got your morality to consider.
