Abuse of Whois Data?

I'm not qualified to answer this with any certainty, but I suspect that Duedil is abusing the terms of use for Nominet's Whois data. If you do a search on a company name, it presents a section titled "Related Names". Within this, is shows a list of names, that are in fact domain names with the domain extension removed.

So if a company owns a list of .co.uk domains then they will appear here with the .co.uk removed.

As far as I was aware Nominet didn't allow this sort of permanent record of a domain registration.

Anyone know enough to clarify?

You mean like domaintools, who.is, wayback machine or any of the countless other domain appraisal/metrics/valuation type sites out there?

I think that horse bolted a long time ago.
