I have come across a possible domain name, but would appreciate a more experienced view as to it's merit.

A large town centre retail / commercial / leisure and residential development is progressing in a local town. The developers have registered the .com, and market the location on this title; i.e. Location.com

The .co.uk is also taken.

The location name however is a very generic phrase (in fact more an address), and the .org.uk / .info / .net names have not been registered.

What views are there as to whether registering the remaining names would:

a) be a worthwhile opportunity
b) be seen as taking a 'trademark'

Is there also some scope I guess from a use of a generic abbreviation in the location name ????

Thanks in advance

John

It sounds like something I wouldn't bother with because there will be much better opportunities out there. You can PM the name if you like for a quick opinion, I promise I won't reg anything.

Replied to your PM, be interested to know accelerators opinion though:)

It seems 'Great minds think alike'

You and Accelerator are of one view.

Thanks again
