Hi,

Would appreciate your thoughts.

Picked up this domain some time back, and put an auto blog on it.

It's well indexed by the main search engines, but not monetised. Gets about 500 uniques a month ...

I've been offered $250 for it - fair price?

Thanks,

VSC

If it means something then depends on what..? Not knowing what makes it harder? google it. Check abbrev, company’s house, business registers, trademark databases etc non UK and UK. Who made the offer research will give a much clearer indication as to real value

If it’s a nonsense word then it’s a ok price if its product, brand etc then its poor

Update ...

Okay, it seems that this is the name of a porn blocking software and keylogging software (for employers to use - legit).

So ... I left it several days, and then replied no. The reason is that I have several reseller hosting accounts, and I actually use this one for the nameservers of one of them - and just didn't want the hassle of changing all the nameserves on the other sites etc ...

Today, I get a PM with an offer of double - $500.

That was a very swift increase ... which has now got me intrigued ...

Thoughts?

Very strange especially as you just received there first offer…? You need to research the company there offices are in London but google maps seams to show a house...? web site says 10,000 customers in over 100 countries why they on a .cc domain? looks like they are after the .uk as the org.uk is free

A GAO seams to own many of the other extensions shouldn’t be that hard to research this company…? See if there interested in it also… Personally I’d research what if any meaning the word had also both companies and make my price based on that… But depeends on your situation but £xxxx seams more realistic if they are legit...?
