To an astronomer or astrophotographer, astrovideography is the next step up with technology rapidly increasing helping stargazers capture views through telescopes on to DVD, camcorder hard drives and now on to TV's!
For those not in the know astrovideography is the way of capturing video from views through different types of telescopes. Telescopes themselves sell for between £xxx and £xx,xxx (amateurs between low £xxx and mid £xxx - with professionals mid £x,xxx upwards).
Technology used to capture the types of videos to inspire and amaze is new in it's infancy but also are high end priced products. Astronomy is a serious hobby for most with stats showing an average of low-high £xxx for newbies starting out - with seasoned and professional spending £x,xxx per year in eyepieces, mounts, filters and astrophotography / astrovideography equipment.
