Bad names

Found this domain name the other day when searching on G for scaffolding

qingdao-scaffolding.com, How many customers are going to remember this ?

Common sense tells you this is not a good idea, why not use something like

Scaffolding-supplies.co.uk

You should see some Welsh ones eg, cwmcarnillilandscapes.co.uk

Anyone got any other examples of poor named domains ?

No it's quite a good domain, it's just on par with a Chinese person saying what a silly name Newcastle-scaffolding.com is......what China man in their right mind would remember that and what does Newcastle mean????.

Qingdao is a place and will be well know to the people that search for it!

GDG, I think in future i should do some more research myself, i seen this as a sponsored link in the UK results and pressumed it was based in the UK but didn't even look at the site.
I now have and realise it is based in China not the UK

I'm a silly boy !!!

Easy mistake there. Although that website must have bad geo targetting to come up in UK sponsored results!

from what i see .coms seem to be the worst offenders though for terrible random domains, I know there are very few good .coms to register but I'm not sure what some people think about sometimes

Yes ! you would think turning up in the UK results that they could have used a British name which redirects to the main Chinese site ?

Ah well !!!
