Hi!
I recently bought a few domains which i think they quite brandable but they don't have much or any exact search. Is it worth it to buy these kind of domains for resale? Or are they only valuable if i want to develop them?
Or non of them...:)
Here's a few example: HerZone.co.uk ; NoPlay.co.uk ; TabletFactory.co.uk

MadeOf.co.uk ; KindOf.co.uk ; NoMusic.co.uk

Thanks

I don’t think you can answer the “brand” question without lots of research (also helps if you in with marketing and advertising agencies) Tend to be about selling an idea to a company, Many are short and catchy e.g. O2, Next, BA but not always “compare the meerkat!” brand/ marketing campaign. Some are generic but non descript of the product e.g. “Three, Orange” others describe the product service etc e.g. easy jet, really they can be anything? , Which is probably why so many through tdomains into the category when trying to sell? Just google “what is a brand “and start your research, Putting random words together to make create a "brand!" is often non productive and the name worthless though,,,,

Don’t see any of the above as natural ones.

Developing names doesn’t automatically make them worth more if there not good at the start then when developed there still not good with a site attached. More money down the drain...

I would say it's incredibly difficult to be successful at reselling brandable domains. It's not something I would do. A company can potentially has an infinite number of options for a new brand, so they won't overpay for yours.

Contrast that to an exact match domain, which has uniqueness.

I'm sorry to say but I wouldn't consider any of these as 'Brandable' certainly not in .co.uk . In fact it's a struggle to see any of them as worthwhile even as a .com
