I have invested a lot of money in 3d domains as well. As I like your names I think they are not worth much as of yet. These names need to sit and marinate for a while until 3d starts taking off. Good luck with your names.

Ty for your reply :)

Couple more I should have added

3Dprepaidphones.com
3Dcontractphone.com
3Dpayasyougo.com
3Dcontractphones.com

3dlaptops.org
3dwidescreentv.com
3dplasmatv.net
3dmobilephone.net
3dmp5.com
anaglyph glasses .co.uk
3d anaglyph glasses.com

I think these might have some modest potential:

3dlaptops.org
3dwidescreentv.com
3dplasmatv.net - This one is quite good.
3dmobilephone.net

3d TV is very nearly on the market, so there will be some opportunities for good 3d TV domains, just don't get carried away, domain quality is important, don't just add a 3d to anything ...

I bought 3dfootball.org.uk and 3dfootball.me.uk the other week ... they should be good for Sky 3d Football marketing.
Rgds

I picked up an adult 3d domain recently:
f*ck3d.co.uk which I think is also brandable as it appears to look like the word f*cked.

Might be worthwhile developing for when 3d adult movies start appearing.

Hah, I own 3df*ck.co.uk and watch-movies.co.uk (watch movies - only bought it a couple of days ago) , you own f*ck3d.co.uk and movie-watch.com . Spooky.

I did receive my first offer for a 3d domain through sedo yesterday (3dchannels.net). Unfortunately it wasn't a high offer and the $50 sedo fee makes it pointless to let go of, and I'm not confident that this is the best time to go to auction.

Still, at least it legitimises investing in 3D domains, if I'm receiving bids before the area has even reached the consumer in a big way.

Lol @ NewGuy, yes that is spooky.
I'd be tempted to hang on to your 3d domains too, not worth offloading for low
ball figures.

Totally agree. It would negate the point of buying them. Perhaps a year or so into the sky3d launch and with a few 3dtvs on the market we'll get an idea of how quickly this is going to take off.

Not quite as spooky but you have the horse racing tips site and I own bettinghorses.co.uk
We're obviously on a similar wavelength.

Thankyou for the responses. Ive bought into the 3d experience just need to let these mature a bit. I'm thinking of developing anaglyphglasses.co.uk as there is already a good exact search volume for these.

Some longer hold domains I also snapped up were 3dprepaidphone.com 3dprepaidphones.com 3dcontractphones.com 3dcontractphone.com

I'm considering developing these too, with some good seo work they could do quite well.

I can see logic in branching out slightly from pure 3dtv names. It's a bit of a longshot of curse, but the outlay isn't all that much, and if they're worthless in 4 years I'll let them drop. I didn't go for 3dphones, but I have a couple of '3d tablet' names.

I branched out in a few different directions:

3dbillboards.co.uk
3dcamcorders.org
3dmagazine.co.uk
3dsubscription.co.uk

etc

Anyway, good luck with your domains :).

Something that has been overlooked by a lot of people is the shutters/glasses that will be needed to view in 3d. These can be very expensive to buy, will need replacing more than the actual tv's. For instance, anaglyph glasses returns a search volume of 6700 exact searches per month already and 3d is not exactly mainstream. I can see this volume being multiplied by 10 over the next 2 years once 3d picks up. The ppc is also very good $1 a pop average and I can imagine that an amazon shop would do very well.

I recently picked up webcamera3d.com and webcameras3d.com

2 little gems.

bought a few myself
actionin3d.com
blog3d.co.uk
and a few more :)

I took up the chance too to grab webcamera3d.com and webcameras3d.com

When these roll out....... $$$$

My latest buy is 3dremotecontrol.com

How this avoided being regged i'm mistified.

How would you appraise this domain?
