As a noob around here (joined when I found out deleted-co-uk had gone :-(), can I just ask for a clarification...

When someone's selling a domain and adds "buyer pays Nominet fee", is that the £2.50/£5.00 "let me have it!" fee or the £80 "are you really sure you want this domain?" fee?

Ie. I have accts at freeparking, 123-reg, 1&1 and GoDaddy that I can transfer domains into. If I buy a domain from someone else what would the Nominet fee be? Does it go to eth seller to settle with Nomi, or would I pay them myself?

I am NOT a member of Nom nor a Tag holder. (But will do one day I think)

Thanks all,

Steve

It basically means you pay the nominet transfer fee of £10 + VAT. Transferring .uk domains between registrar accounts does not make the domain officially yours until the ownership info has been officially changed by sending in the transfer form to Nominet.

It means the £10+vat Nominet administration fee for domain transfer.

... damn beaten to it!
